How to create or edit FAQs for your hackathon

A well-prepared Frequently Asked Questions ("FAQ") section for a hackathon is essential as it addresses common concerns and helps streamline the event experience for organizers and participants! Follow the steps below to add, edit, and share FAQs for your hackathon.

Adding FAQs

Step 1

To add an FAQ, go to the hackathon dashboard under Manage Hackathon Tab, select FAQ section and click "Add FAQ". 

Step 2

Continue by adding the FAQ question and the answer, then proceed to "Add FAQ". 

Note: We have included a few default FAQ questions when setting up the hackathon, including: 

1. Are there any limits to team size?
2. Are there any eligibility requirements for participants?
3. How does team formation work in the hackathon?
4. Who is the hackathon for?

Here are a few more sample questions you can include in your hackathon's FAQ section to provide more information around the event:

1. 1. Who is eligible to join the hackathon?
   2. What is the process for hackathon registration?
   3. Are we allowed to form teams before the event?
   4. What are the evaluation criteria for projects?
   5. What prizes can participants expect to win?
   6. Is it permissible to work on pre-existing projects or ideas?
   7. What resources will be accessible during the hackathon?
   8. What channels should I use to connect with the hackathon organizers?

Incorporating these questions will foster a more transparent and informative environment for participants. Feel free to add your questions and details regarding the hackathon. 

You can access the comprehensive list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) by visiting the FAQ tab on your hackathon's dashboard or exploring the FAQ section on the hackathon's main landing page.

Editing and Deleting FAQs

To edit or update your FAQs, click on the one you would like to change and make any necessary updates. Click "Update" to save. 

Alternatively, delete an FAQ by clicking on that question and selecting "Delete."

Reorder FAQ List

You can reorder the FAQ to your liking by dragging them up or down. 

Sharing the FAQ Link

To share the FAQ on your own landing page, discord or social media, use the "Copy public FAQ link" on the FAQ section.
